A great weekend spent on Jersey CI.

A great weekend spent on Jersey CI.
The big attraction was a love-in with Nigel Mansell at his museum. Rachel and I flew in on Friday evening and stayed with her sister and husband in St Aubin. Saturday morning and the heavens opened. Lawrence then proceeded to fit the soft top on his Elise S1…he got soaked as I watched his progress in the dry. Showtime with Nige was 10am>2pm/tenner a head.
I jumped into the Elise for the 15 minute trip and sat in a puddle that was the passenger seat.
Mansell gave a talk about his career and then we gathered round for photos and signings.. Guests had come from Canada, the USA, Europe and of course Essex.
Over four hours I reckon about 200 people arrived and Nige was in good form. You will see him signing an Andrew Kitson donated print. The original you can spot on the wall.
Well worth the suffering that is Luton Airport.
This event was a trial for the future. I spoke at length to Leo Mansell who seemed pleased with the day.
